Students on field trip learn about kurumbas & their art

A group of 22 enthusiastic students from a leading school in Bangalore accompanied by 2 committed teachers participated in a Kurumbas art camp held at the Kurumbas village called Vellaricombai.  A group of 5 students  decided to learn the art of natural colour making and attend the camp conducted by our tribal artist and the rest were quick to take on the challenge of trekking further to the rock paintings  [ Read More ]

Mercy Home Children participate in Camp II

Kurumbas Art Camp at Bhaviyoor for tribal children

Revival Camp II – Vellaricombai

Under its Kurumbas Art Revival Initiative (KARI), One Earth Foundation conducted a second art workshop for the tribal children of Vellaricombai village (Kurumbas settlement).  This small hamlet with about 10 huts, can be reached on foot after an hours trek from Mamaram – on the road to Kotagiri.
