Proud young artists

Under its Kurumbas Art Revival Initiative (KARI), One Earth Foundation conducted a second art workshop for the tribal children of Vellaricombai village (Kurumbas settlement).  This small hamlet with about 10 huts, can be reached on foot after an hours trek from Mamaram – on the road to Kotagiri.

The students showed tremendous interest and there was visible improvement in their drawings from the time they attneded the first camp in July.  Some students had practiced motifs in the art books provided under this initiative.

Keep it up and seeing the interest in our young artists, we will be back soon with another workshop.
