Trek through a Kurumbas village

We are pleased to share with you some images from our recent treks through some of the Kurumbas villages.  These hamlets are located between 3000 – 5000 ft above MSL and usually on very steep slopes.  Lack of basic amenities is evident and clean water remains a challenge. Kurumbas Art Camp at Bhaviyoor for tribal children

Hi Out very first camp held at the village of Bhaviyoor was a great success with excellent participation.  The children were very enthusiastic to learn the various motifs that were taught to them in this first camp.  The parents and other village adults who watched the camp in progress were surprised at their own ignorance of this traditional skill.  There were many questions which our team was happy to answer.  [ Read More ]
